Its about setting the hook on tarpon, but the techique is the same.  Just remember, keep the tip of your rod touching the water and pointing right at the fly.  Move the fly through the water by making short tugs on the line with your left hand.  When A fish hits dont do anything with the rod.  Just give another sharp tug on the line.  Then you can lift the tip of the rod up and play the fish.

I was doing it completely wrong. Thanks for the info. Maybe I\'ll land more fish. I hope. Because I could be a pro by now if I would have landed all the fish that have struck my fly these past couple of weeks.
